NewZealand Education Sysytem

New Zealand provides top-notch academics with exquisite natural beauty for international students. New Zealand qualifications are highly recognized across the globe by industry and community leaders. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is responsible to ensure that students intending to study in New Zealand can be assured of achieving qualifications that are comparable to qualifications achieved in the leading educational institutes in any other country. New Zealand Immigration will not issue a permit unless you are planning to do an NZQA approved course.

Education in New Zealand follows the three-tier model which includes primary schools, followed by secondary schools (high schools) and tertiary education at universities and/or polytechs.

The academic year in New Zealand varies between institutions, but generally runs from late January until mid-December for primary schools, secondary schools, and polytechnics, and from late February until mid-November for universities

Steps to study in New Zealand:

-          Based on your qualifications/work experience, aptitude and career goals, our counselors will access the eligibility of the applicant to secure an admission and student visa. If the applicant is found eligible, the entire admission and visa process will be explained in detail after which an applicant may apply for admission.

-          Once you finalize your course and the institution, you may apply for an admission.

-          If the institution accepts your application, you will be sent an “Offer of Place” and an invoice for tuition fees.

-          If you accept the offer, you need to pay the fees after which the institution will send you a confirmed “Offer of Place” and the confirmation of payment.

-          You will also need a written guarantee from a New Zealand education institution or person that suitable accommodation is available to you in New Zealand.

-          You will be required to provide a medical and x-ray certificate when you apply for a student visa. This medical certificate should be issued by a doctor approved by the NZIS.

-          If you are above 17, you will also need a police certificate to show that you are of good character.
